Notting Hill Carnivale...

Imagine a suburb, 2 km squared, flat, with gridlike streets. Then jam all those streets with people, 2 million of them. And a never ending procession of the biggest mobile sound systems you've ever seen or heard, following each sound system is atleast a hundred dancers (going for it). This is Notting Hill Carnivale. And it is quite literally insane. But alot of fun.
Some of the costumes are extraordinary. Prizes are awarded to the best troupe in the parade.

Standing outside the Bonaparte, we had ourselves a nice little vantage point...

Colliflower and Isagood watch as the Hammered St. Steel Drum group goes by.

Another beautiful costume, and the back of the mobile sound machine. One day we will hire a truck/system and join in the fun. Just need a charity to represent....... shouldn't be to hard.

The London choppas display their tolerance. Check out the faces in the background. Everyones in on it.

The infamous Bonapartes, featured in the cult movie 'Till the Cows come Home'. There it is boys... in all it's glory. Nothing has changed. Everything is still exactly the same.
